(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The highly anticipated Diablo 3 expansion known as “Reaper of Souls” may have only been confirmed for PC thus far, but it could eventually arrive with console support for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
The indication came from game director Josh Mosqueira.
“Our philosophy has always been we work on one project at a time,” insisted Mosqueira through comments made to Polygon. “We’ve got Diablo 3 on PC, we released it and then a small team splintered off to work on Diablo for the current consoles. Now the team’s really focused on Reaper of Souls for PC. So if you look at the past, you can probably infer what the future might bring. We don’t have any announcements at this point.”
Reaper of Souls will notably raise Diablo 3’s level cap to 70 in addition to adding the “Crusader” character class. A release date has yet to be specified.
Diablo 3 by itself will arrive for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September.
