Galaxy S3 Ban Wish by Apple Grows Patent Rift

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Cupertino, California-based tech giant Apple would like the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 mobile phone banned in the United States. Why? Apple believes Samsung violated some of its patents used to create the smartphone.

The specific patents in question pertain to how the device operates in regards to commands initiated by the user.

Of course, Samsung is pushing back. According to a report from British news provider The Telegraph, Samsung commented, “We will vigorously oppose the request and demonstrate to the court that the Galaxy S3 is innovative and distinctive.”

Apple and Samsung have long fought over patent issues. Just earlier this week, the popular iPhone creator was denied a request via a U.S. court to have Samsung’s Galaxy Tab banned over similar patent concerns. The Samsung Galaxy S III is set to hit the U.S. market on the 21st of June.
