Nintendo Brings Mario Kart 8, Sonic Boom, and More To San Diego Comic-Con, Super Smash Bros. 3DS Tournament Announced (Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Nintendo will be making its way to San Diego’s Comic-Con later this month, bringing with them numerous playable Wii U and 3DS games, including popular titles like Mario Kart 8, Sonic Boom, and Super Smash Bros.

“Nintendo fans are going to have a great time with what we have planned for San Diego Comic-Con this year, whether they are attending the event or watching at home from across the country,” said Nintendo of America Executive VP of Sales & Marketing, Scott Moffitt. “From first hands-on opportunities to tournaments and a fun live stream, we want to make sure that everyone has a great time experiencing Nintendo at the show.”

Along with already released titles, fans will be able to play upcoming games such as Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and Caption Toad: Treasure Tracker at the Nintendo Gaming Lounge, says the company via press release.

  • Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney from Nintendo

  • THEATRHYTHM FINAL FANTASY CURTAIN CALL from Square Enix, Inc.
  • Shovel Knight from Yacht Club Games (Nintendo eShop)

Wii U

Additionally, Nintendo will be hosting the first Super Smash Bros. 3DS tournament. Slots are limited, so sign-ups are on a fist come first serve basis, which can be done the day of the event. The tournament can be live streamed from Nintendo’s Twitch channel.

Those not able to attend the event will be able to stream live game-play challenges and activities through the Nintendo Twitch channel on July 25 and 26th.
