(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – One of the most dreaded iPhone problems could be back with the launch of iOS version 6.1.3.
According to a report from ZDNet on Monday, iOS users were reporting battery drainage problems.
The issues were detailed via user complaints on Apple Support Communities. “Last night I updated my iPhone 4S to a iOS 6.1.3 and now it drains my battery in extremely fast manner. As I started signing in to write this question from my iPhone I already lost 13% of my battery,” commented user Timurjonchick, ZDNet’s report noted.
However, as the issue was further discussed, a fix was detailed. Albeit somewhat complex, it required users to turn off features via iCloud settings.
iOS 6.1.3 was originally released, reportedly correctly a vulnerability with Apple lock screens – in addition to more features for Maps in Japan along with killing the popular Evasi0n jailbreak. However, a blog post from security company Sophos later noted the lock screen provided another way the bypass it, citing a YouTube video provided from a user.
