(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – DDoS mitigation specialists Black Lotus on Tuesday introduced the company’s partnership program for the web hosting community known as the Availability Assurance Partner Program.
The company emphasized that the offering specifically allows web hosting providers to guard against DDoS threats all while avoiding unwanted factors including “capital expenditures or contractual obligations.”
Features of the company’s DDoS protection solution include an application firewall, real time reporting and the ability for clients to select operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux and FreeBSD. Among the types of hosting providers accounted for through the company’s services are managed collocation, dedicated and cloud servers along with dedicated cloud hypervisors.
“When hosting providers enter into partnership agreements, the typical outcome is a reseller plan which requires the provider to commit to substantial volumes in order to realize return on investment,” commented Black Lotus President Jeffrey Lyon in a press release regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, Lyon emphasized the partner program’s uniqueness, saying that the solution offered “well established network operators in the hosted services industry the unique opportunity to provide a white label DDoS mitigation to their customers at a clean 50% margin.”
Just last month, colocation provider Telx revealed that Black Lotus had decided to host their DDoS protection services at the company’s Los Angeles data center. For more information regarding the new reseller program by Black Lotus, view a press release here (blacklotus.net).
