It is indeed an easily verified fact that few other consumer technologies are as omnipresent and as widely-utilized as the telephone. After all, even among us “techies,” a quick technology count usually verifies that we own more telephones than we do computers. And, even when that’s not the case, our telephone (albeit, these days, usually of the cellular variety) is often within our reach 24 hours a day, even when our computer keyboards are not.
