(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Hosting company 1&1 Internet on Tuesday announced the launch of a Social Media Center – a service geared towards helping 1&1 MyWebsite customers engage their respective audiences through social networking.
In a press release, Robert Hoffman, CEO of Hosting at 1&1, emphasized the increasing role social is playing. “Social media has comprised a paradigm shift in the way businesses communicate. It represents a new level of transparency as consumers now expect real engagement with their issues,” he stated.
One of the primary capabilities of the Social Media Center allows users to synchronize MyWebsite content with Facebook in order to create a business page. Another, meanwhile, provides automatic revising of social media pages when users update their MyWebsite websites.
“Our new Social Media Center can be a powerful eBusiness tool, in not only allowing the rapid creation of social media material, but also the centralized and timely management of multiple channels,” commented Hoffman.
The company is also pushing social share features with the Social Media Center – allowing users to manage social communication along with scheduling posts on multiple social media outlets.
In today’s age, it’s becoming increasingly important that businesses maintain social media presences. Earlier this year in March, Facebook revealed that it had reached 15 million business, company and organization pages on its network.
