343 Shares Thoughts on Halo 5 Multiplayer Features and Spectator Mode Coming to Xbox One

343 Shares Thoughts on Halo 5 Multiplayer Features and Spectator Mode Coming to Xbox One(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Its just days away from the release of the Halo 5: Guardians beta, and 343 Industries has shared some insight into multiplayer features and the new Spectator mode.

In a Halo bulletin post, Halo producer Josh Holmes described the new mode as “huge,” revealing that users will be able to watch other player’s game while online during the beta, reports GameSpot.

“You can then go and look at that game and you can view it from multiple different perspectives,” explained Holmes. “It’s essentially liked a saved film that’s running off of the dedicated server.”

“In addition to rock-solid gunplay, with [Halo 5: Guardians] we are striving to provide a focused suite of mobility-based actions that reinforce the experience of fighting as a Spartan,” he added about the game’s gunplay. “We specifically chose to focus on mobility because it was the part of the Spartan experience that we felt was the most under-developed and had the most promise to deliver a fresh and exciting new play experience for Halo.”

He noted that players will be able to test out seven different maps and three game modes, though both will be gradually release during the three week beta.

Halo 5: Guardians beta will launch on December 29th and go until January 18, 2015.
