4 Cool Takeaways from Wednesday at cPanel Conference 2013(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – cPanel Conference 2013 kicked into high gear on Tuesday, offering its first full day of networking, announcements and industry insights.

Below we highlight some of the coolest takeaways from the event:

cPanel Labs – Attendees got the chance to get hands on by working with cPanel experts from a variety of the company’s departments. Speed Geeking – cPanel took a techy twist on Speed Dating to bring cPanel 2013 attendees “Speed Geeking.” It was a chance to talk with cPanel employees to discuss any number of subjects (cPanel & WHM version 11.40, cough cough).

cPanel University On-site Testing and Certification – Attendees were able to test their cPanel & WHM knowledge at the conference through testing, proving whether or not their skills were enough to become cPanel certified.

4 Cool Takeaways from Wednesday at cPanel Conference 2013cP Cache – A favorite from the conference’s past has returned for 2013: The chance to earn prizes after receiving cP Cache.  Whether it’s shirts, caps, speakers or even foam darts (we saw a few of these flying through the air on Wednesday), a number of cool prizes are available for purchase at the cP Cache Store on the exhibit floor. cP Cache can be earned by attending sessions, visiting with exhibitors and cPanel employees in addition to taking session surveys.

Party – cPanel attendees were invited to attend a float parade which was expected to take them to Republic New Orleans, a nightclub featuring live music and great (and should we mention refreshing?) beverages.

cPanel 2013 Keynote Highlights - eSigns.com CEO Robert MarshKeynotes – Wednesday’s keynote addresses were given by hosting industry vets Christian Dawson (ServInt & i2Coalition) and eSigns CEO Robert Marsh. Both focused their speeches on what they’d learned as early pioneers in the hosting industry. “You can trust your customers. If you’re open, honest and completely transparent, your customers will work just as hard for you as you work for your customers,” Marsh told the crowd.

cPanel Conference 2013 will conclude Wednesday in New Orleans, Louisiana.
