(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The recent installment in the Dark Souls franchise was released by From Software and Bandai Namco earlier this week for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, leaving the PC version delayed till April 25th.
The developers promised “increased texture resolution” and “enhanced frame rate” for the PC version.
“PC & STEAM version will benefit from PC capabilities with increased texture resolution and an enhanced frame rate option. On top of that, FromSoftware have been working to perfectly adapt the game for a mouse & keyboard combo,” reads Dark Souls Facebook page.
Users who pre-order Dark Souls 2 on Steam will receive special bonus items such as the Official Dark Souls 2 Artbook, the digital Dark Souls 2 comic book, early access to the Black Armour Weapon Set, and the digital soundtrack.
Dark Souls 2 was released on March 11th for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles in the U.S., and will be released on April 25th for PC and Steam.
