(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Georgia’s Interior Ministry has accounted for the cause behind the disruption of internet access for the entire country of Armenia and some of Georgia last month. An elderly Georgian lady was searching for copper when she accidently cut a wire in the ground, thus resulting in the service failure. Georgia is the provider for the high majority of Armenia’s internet access.
A system detected the source of the internet loss. The woman was taken in for questioning by the ministry. She has since been released but remains under investigation for property damage. The local media has nicknamed the woman “the spade hacker”.
