Amazon Adds Windows Server 2012 to Cloud Platform

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Windows Server 2012 compatibility has arrived at cloud platform Amazon Web Services, the company announced through its blog Monday.

A number of tech providers have kept busy implementing the management solution since its release in September.

“AWS is excited to add Windows Server 2012 as an option for customers in addition to our existing Windows Server 2003 R2, 2008 and 2008 R2 offerings,” stated the company’s Tom Rizzo.

In addition to announcing the availability, Amazon is launching a blog series discussing its platform and the Microsoft product called “Windows Wednesdays.”

Capabilities from Windows Server 2012 include server virtualization, storage, networking, VDI, automation and more.
