Amazon Could Roll Out the Kindle Fire 2 on 9/6/12

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Top online retailer will hold a press event in Santa Monica, California on the ninth of September, according to a report from Tech Crunch who cited an invite sent out by the company.

There, the popular seller of books, technology and more products is expected to roll out a new Kindle device shortly preceding the start of the 2012 fall season.

Amazon previously sent shockwaves through the tablet world by rolling out a digital tablet called the Kindle Fire last November. It’s a device that sold for just $199 and Amazon placed its profit hopes on digital sales it hoped users would purchase through the platform.

Meanwhile, next month could reveal the Kindle Fire’s direct successor. Amazon has expanded significantly since its days of solely operating as an online retailer. Since then, the company has launched Amazon Web Services, a popular cloud platform used by a plethora of top companies and developers. The company’s first Kindle made its initial debut in 2007.
