The new feature, announced on Monday, lets users add items to their shopping cart directly from the social media site just by typing in the hashtag, #AmazonCart on any Amazon product link.
“Twitter offers a great environment for our customers to discover product recommendations from artists, experts, brands and friends. #AmazonCart was designed to help customers add products to their cart now without leaving Twitter and come back later to shop and buy on Amazon,” said an Amazon spokesperson in an email to TechCrunch.
In order to use this new service, users must link their Amazon and Twitter accounts together, says a post on Amazon.com.
By writing #AmazonCart, this does not actually purchase the product; it just saves it so you can view it later.
