(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – For many tech companies, the Chinese market represents a big opportunity: It’s the country with the most internet users in the world.
And according to a report from Reuters on Monday, retail giant Amazon has tapped into it – launching an Android-based app store featuring digital content that’s both paid and free.
The move arrives after Amazon launched a Kindle e-book platform in the same market late last year.
For many consumers, the launch provides a more stable source of content as Amazon will likely compete with local Chinese rivals – some of whom dabble in pirated content amid concerns of malware.
