(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Popular script library provider Softaculous recently announced the latest version of AMPPS, the company’s desktop application deployment solution.
Version 1.4 of the platform provides users with several benefits, including new releases of MySQL, Softaculous, Python and phpMyAdmin.
Discussing the matter in a press release, AMPPS Senior Developer Ketan Shah stated, “We are extremely excited about the launch of new version of AMPPS.”
Shah continued, “…and we are also soon going to add MercuryMail & Simpler update process of AMPPS with some of the coolest new features.”
Earlier this month, Softaculous announced a variety of new open source-based applications including Roundcube, HTML Purifier, PHPlot, and Symfony. The company is now hosting around 260 applications and is still open to adding more.
Since its launch, Softaculous has proven popular with web hosting providers. In November, the company announced it had expanded AMPPS (with version 1.3) compatibility for the Macintosh. For more information on AMPPS by Softaculous, visit: http://www.ampps.com/
