(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Apple didn’t focus on the MacBook Pro during last month’s WWDC event. Instead, the company opted to introduce revamps for its MacBook Air and Mac Pro lines.
That, however, doesn’t mean the tech giant isn’t gearing up for a new release of the popular laptop computer. According to a report from Tech Radar on Monday, a benchmark for a new 15-inch MacBook Pro has been discovered on GeekBench.
The possible computer features things like an Intel Core i7-4950HQ processor operating at 2.40 GHz along with an Iris Pro 5200 graphics processor. The introduction of the Haswell chip could deliver longer battery life to the Pro, similar to what it did for the MacBook Air.
Apple, meanwhile, expects to release OS X Mavericks sometime this fall – an operating system that delivers more multitasking, new notifications, a revamp to Calendars and more.
