Apple Asks Federal Judge To Ban The Sale Of Samsung Smartphones And Tablets

Apple Asks Federal Judge To Ban The Sale Of Samsung Smartphones And Tablets(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) –  In the latest in the Apple Vs. Samsung patent case, Apple has asked a federal judge to ban the sales of more than 20 Samsung smartphones and tablets, states a report from Yahoo! News.

In a filling issued Thursday, Apple attorney wrote that Samsung had “irreparably harmed Apple” due to the sale of infringing products.

“Samsung’s claim that it has discontinued selling the particular models found to infringe or design around Apple’s patents in no way diminishes Apple’s need for injunctive relief,” wrote Apple in the filing. “Because Samsung frequently brings new products to market, an injunction is important to providing Apple the relief it needs to combat any future infringement by Samsung through products not more than colorably different from those already found to infringe.”

Additionally, Apple stated that money is not an adequate punishment for Samsung’s infringement, which is why they are seeking to ban devices such as the Nexus S 4G, Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Prevail, Galaxy Tab, and Tab 10.1 tablets, among many others.
