(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – If you’re using Apple’s iCloud or iTunes service, you may have noticed something: Some things aren’t working properly.
According to Apple’s own health dashboard, iCloud-based solutions including Backup, Photo Stream, Documents in the Cloud and iPhoto Journals were all facing problems. Less than 1% of users were affected. Despite that, a report from CNET noted the number still hovered in the millions.
“Users may be unable to use iCloud Documents, Photo Stream, iPhoto Journals, or Backup & Restore. Users may also be unable to send or download attachments in iMessage,” stated the Cupertino tech giant early Thursday.
The bigger outage, however, pertained to iTunes, where a total 16.6% of users were left unable to make purchases.
It’s hardly the first time Apple services have faced downtime. Last month, the Apple developer portal reportedly faced its own outage.
