(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Apple fans could be in for a big surprise, if the recent rumors surrounding the iPhone are correct.
There are multiple reports claiming that Apple could possibly release the iPhone 6S this spring, followed by the iPhone 7 in the fall, reports ValueWalk.
According to the Stabley Times, citing sources familiar with the matter, the tech giant will start releasing mobile devices every six months in order to compete with its competitors such as Samsung.
The sources noted that Apple will also release the S version of devices with major design changes, as opposed to only minor changes that occur every other year.
This sudden release schedule change is said to coincide with the launch of the Apple Watch next year. The Cupertino company believes the smartwatch will be such a hit that it could boost its iPhone sales as well, adds the source.
However, the Stabley Times noted that there another scenario that could happen is the launch of the iPhone 6S in the spring and then the launch of the iPhone 7 a year later in 2016.
