(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – In recent months, Apple has filed for some very interesting patent applications, leaving many to wonder what role these could play in future Apple products, specifically the highly anticipated iPhone 6.
On Thursday, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published a patent application by Apple Inc. titled, “Voice-Based Image Tagging and Searching.”
This patent would allow users to tag and sort through their photos on their iPhone by voice recognition using Siri.
”Voice-based photo-tagging dramatically increases the speed and convenience of photo-tagging. For example, by combining speech recognition techniques with intelligent natural-language processing, the disclosed implementations enable users to simply speak a description of what is in a photograph, such as “this is me at the beach,” and the photo will be automatically tagged with the appropriate information,” states the application.
There has not been any confirmed word from Apple regarding the speculated iPhone 6, but looking at past release dates, the iPhone 6 could be released in September/October 2014.
