Apple I Computer from 1976 Reaches $300,000 in Bidding(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – A rare Apple I computer designed in 1976 by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has reached $300,000.00 in bidding.

The auction is being held through Christie’s and the device is just one of 200 designed during the company’s infancy.

The Apple I was built in Steve Job’s parents’ garage located in Los Altos, California and features just 8k of DRAM memory.

The idea of an Apple I fetching so much money is no special feat. Just earlier this year in May, a functioning model was sold for a report $668,000 USD.
