A recent article from ChristianToday suggests the iPhone 4 and iPad 2 will not be receiving iOS 8, a move that coincides with Apple’s usual decision to no longer support older models once new software comes out.

According to the article, iOS 8 will run on all newer iPhones and iPads, stopping on the iPhone 4S and iPad 3.

Additionally, the tech giant is expected to announce the Beats by Dre acquisition and a “new software platform” that is rumored to control appliances and security systems in user’s homes.

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference will be held in San Francisco from June 2-6.
