(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – As Apple’s WWDC conference approaches a close, there’s new speculation regarding future iPhone releases.
According to a Reuters report on Thursday, the Cupertino-based company is considering launching iPhones with 4.7” and 5.7” screens – larger display sizes which could help Apple compete against the likes of competitor Samsung.
Reuters cited four unnamed sources “with knowledge of the matter” when making the report.
In addition to that, the Cupertino, California-based company is also looking at a more affordable $99 model along with releasing a future device in multiple colors – the latter not a surprise as the current iPod touch comes in yellow, blue, slate, silver and red.
iPhone suppliers had reportedly been approached about the company’s plans. “They constantly change product specifications almost to the final moment, so you’re not really sure whether this is the final prototype,” commented an unnamed source to Reuters.
Apple released its last iPhone, the 5, in September.
