(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – As September nears, rumors about Apple’s iPhone 6 are heating up, with many claiming that Apple will unveil the device at a special media event next month.
Re/Code recently reported that the tech giant will host its iPhone event on Tuesday, September 9th, though no further details were given.
If this date is accurate then we could be seeing a September 19th release, which coincides with last year’s release of the iPhone 5 that was announced on September 12th.
Many are suggesting that the new device will have a hefty price tag, with the Huffington Post speculating that the smartphone could cost more than $800 without a contract, that’s double the cost of the original iPhone that was released in 2007.
Apple is expected to launch two versions of the iPhone 6, a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch “phablet.” Both models are believed to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessors, and rumored to feature an A8 processing chip, NFC, 4G antenna, a sapphire crystal screen display, and 3D graphics.
