(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Apple is now repairing cracked iPhone 5C screens in store, claims a report from CNN.
The service is available for $149 and can be done while you wait.
This marks a big change in Apple’s Store policy, as the company would previously ship customer’s phones to an off-site repair shop, charging customers $229.
In June, Apple first began offering in-store repairs for the iPhone 5 as an effort to cut costs.
According to MacRumors, the company could save as much as $1 billion per year by offering in-store repairs.
The Apple Store is currently still not equipped to repair the iPhone 5S and 4S in store.
