(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Curved screens are looking to be the newest trend in mobile devices. Apple is rumored to be developing two new iPhones that display bigger screens with curved glass and enhanced sensors.
Bloomberg reported, from an unidentified source who claims to have knowledge of Apple’s plans, that the new models will have “sensors that can distinguish heavy or light touches on the screen.” This new model would be the largest iPhone Apple has ever released, with screens measuring 4.7 and 5.5 inches.
Bloomberg’s source also said that Apple is planning to release the two new models in the second half of 2014.
It seems that Apple may be following in the footsteps of its competitors. Samsung recently released the Galaxy Round in Korea, which has a 5.7 inch curved screen.
Last week Apple announced its partnership with GT Advanced Technologies to open a new plant in Arizona
