(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Key Apple services reportedly faced downtime recently, according to a report from Apple Insider on Sunday. Although they were eventually restored, platforms experiencing the problem included iMessage and FaceTime. Both fall under Apple’s iCloud platform.
The report also noted that such downtime had become “more common” since the latest release of iOS.
Apple error messages described that just some users were affected. “Users are unable to use iMessage. Normal service will be restored ASAP,” stated a screenshot appearing via appleinsider.com.
Apple’s iCloud was released in October of 2011. The company provides for the services via its data center located in Prineville, Oregon.
