(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – iPhone users will soon be able to safely use their devices while driving with Apple’s new program, CarPlay.
CarPlay features Siri’s voice control that works with the car’s buttons, controls, and touchscreen to let users use the apps they want while driving, such as Podcasts, Beats Radio, Spotify, Stitcher, and iHeartRadio, says Apple’s website.
“CarPlay takes the things you want to do with your iPhone while driving and puts them right on your car’s built-in display. You can get directions, make calls, send and receive messages, and listen to music, all in a way that allows you to stay focuses on the road.”
CarPlay is only compatible with the iPhone 5, 5C, and 5S and will be available in vehicles made by Honda, Jaguar, Mercedes, Volvo, and Ferrari, with 12 more companies committed for future collaborations.
