(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Apple released its new operating system last week, bringing with it a few bugs and performance issues.
On Apple’s support forums users have been complaining of various problems with iOS 8 such as slow Wi-Fi, poor battery life, app crashes, and issues with Bluetooth, reports MacRumors.
Most of the issues seem to be centered on reduced Wi-Fi speeds and battery drainage. One user on the forums claimed his battery went from 100 percent to zero in just four hours with hardly any phone usage, a problem many other users seemed to be experiencing as well.
Devices affected by these bugs include the iPhone 5S, both iPhone 6s, the iPad Air, and Retina iPad Mini.
Apple is planning on releasing an update for iOS 8 soon, fixing bugs and adding support for Apple Pay and other features such as SMS Relay.
As of Monday, 46% of iPhones and iPads are using iOS 8, while 49% are using iOS 7, and 5% are using older operating system versions.
