(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Since its release one week ago, Apple’s iOS 7.1 has shown to have less app crashes than its predecessors.
According to TechRadar, performance monitoring firm Crittercism reported that the crash rate of apps in iOS 7.1 has dropped to 1.6 %, a noticeable improvement from the 2.1% app crash rate found in iOS 7.
Also outlined in the report is how iOS 6 and 6.1were more susceptible to app crashes even without iOS 7’s “white or black screens of death.”
Online advertising network, Chitika, noted that a significant amount of iOS 7.1 users had been accessing its ad network, 12% in 48 hours after the release of the new system.
Apple’s new operating system, released on March 10th, brought a number of bug fixes, user interface design tweaks, and new features and improvements to its devices.
