Apple’s Mac Pro Finally Set for Makeover?

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Apple’s Mac Pro offering may finally get a revamp. According to a report from Mac Daily News, an announcement to replace the device could arrive this month.

Details were scarce and the announcement could be pushed back but here’s what we do know:

-The Mac Pro first debuted in the middle of 2006; the last version was released during the middle of last year.

-The Mac Pro highly resembles its predecessor, the Power Mac G5, a device first launched in 2003. That’s a long time to not have a cosmetic makeover, although we still think the Mac Pro is a beaut.

-The Mac Pro is Apple’s most powerful computer, featuring up to 12 cores of processing power. It’s also super expensive, ranging from $2499.00 to $3799.00.

-According to CNET, Apple has stopped selling the device in Europe. Why? New regulations related to electronics.
