(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has sent out invitations to an October 22nd product event in San Francisco, a report from USA Today signaled on Tuesday.
There, Apple is highly expected to unveil new iPads, Mac computers and Mavericks, the company’s upcoming desktop operating system.
“We still have a lot to cover,” Apple’s invitation remarked.
Apple has kept busy as of late. Just last month, the company revamped its iMac line with new fourth gen Intel Core i5 Haswell processors in addition to launching the iPhone 5S and 5C.
New Mac Pro
The October 22nd event, which is sure to receive heavy media coverage, will likely include new information on the radical revamp of the Mac Pro computer. It’s something that Apple provided a preview of at WWDC in June.
The new Mac Pro features a much smaller and circular frame powered by an Intel Xeon processor, 1866 MHz DDR3, Thunderbolt 2 and other components that are said to make it two times faster than its predecessor.
Apple has yet to name a firm release date for OS X Mavericks. However, a previous report from 9to5Mac noted that Apple planned to release the OS later this month. OS X Mavericks will deliver new features such as improved battery life, new notifications, more multi-screen functionality and a new version of Safari.
Apple will likely unveil a new iPad mini and a next gen full-sized iPad. The mini will probably feature a sharper retina screen resolution.
