(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – While most of the attention from Apple’s October 22 media event was geared towards the new iPad lineup, something else the Cupertino-based tech giant announced was more details on its highly anticipated Mac Pro revamp.
Described as the “most radical Mac ever,” the desktop computer is set to hit in December starting at $2,999.
The new Mac Pro has received a drastic redesign compared to its predecessors, sporting a circular black case design around a unified thermal core.
“The new Mac Pro is our vision for the future of the pro desktop, everything about it has been reimagined and there has never been anything like it,” stated Apple senior VP of Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller in a press release earlier this month.
Apple initially provided a preview of the new Mac Pro during its annual WWDC conference in June.
Tech specs of the new Mac Pro will include 12-core Xeon CPUs, PCIe flash storage, ECC memory and dual FirePro GPUs.
