(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Another Apple iPad has just been released, the iPad Mini.
Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior VP of Worldwide Marketing, stated,” The response to iPad Air has been incredible, and we’re excited for customers to experience the new iPad mini with Retina display.”
The iPad Mini has a 7.9-inch retina display powered by the A7 chip and can be purchased in silver or space gray. Prices vary from $399 to $829, depending on the amount of storage space selected and internet capability-Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and cellular data network.
The mini cannot be purchased from Apple retail stores yet, but customers can order them at Apple’s online store or purchase one at Best Buy and wireless partners, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon.
According to Apple’s website, shipping will take one to three business days for the 16 and 32 GB models, and five to ten days for the higher storage models.
Apple is said to be having a shortage of the high-definition screens that is featured on the mini, according to a report by CNN. This may explain why the device isn’t sold in Apple retail stores yet.
This release comes 12 days after the release of the iPad Air.
