AT&T U-Verse Back Online After Mass Frustration

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Good news for frustrated AT&T U-verse users: The internet should be back up.

“U-verse service has been fixed for all impacted customers. We’ll be crediting those affected & we’re incredibly sorry for the inconvenience,” commented AT&T via its U-Verse Twitter page on Wednesday.

Downtime had persisted for an extended length of time with some indications signaling the service may have been offline as early as Monday.

The company previously blamed the incident on a server issue. A CNN report also indicated a software upgrade went wrong, something quite common with downtime issues.

According to a report from the Miami Herald, outages were seen in fourteen U.S. states including Florida. Customers had flocked to online social networks, expressing their disappointment with the outage. “I’m living in a prehistoric age with AT&T,” remarked Sabrina of Miami, Florida, according to the Herald.
