‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ Not Developed by Rocksteady

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Come October 25th, Batman will mark his return to Arkham.

Warner Brothers announced the latest video game in the Arkham series last Tuesday – noting that Batman: Arkham Origins would be released for platforms including the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, while another version, Arkham Origins Blackgate, would be made for 3DS and PS Vita.

WB Games Montréal is developing the title – something new for the series which saw predecessors created instead under Rocksteady.

Meanwhile, the handheld version is being developed by Armature Studio.

Arkham Origins is based on Batman’s “early career as a crime fighter,” according to a press release from Warner Brothers.

Upon release back in 2011, Arkham City, the previously released title in the series, sold 2 million copies within its first two weeks, according to a report from the LA Times.
