(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – As Parallels Summit continues, Acronis CEO Serguei Beloussov kicked off the day with the first keynote discussing the history and the present of the cloud and popular trends in the industry.

He continued by giving a brief history of cloud computing followed by seven current trends in the industry.
The first trend he noted was “Big Data”, where he used Chevron as an example for IT services. In the past, Chevron used IT to save money where now they use IT to make money, approximately $5 billion is budgeted yearly on IT to make profit.
The trends continued with examples about the Internet, Bitcoin, 3D printers, robots, wearable technology, and the reality of things, such as quantum computers and tele porters.
“Everything is IT, and IT is everything.”
