(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – BlackBerry’s image makeover appears to be going quite well – as evidenced by the company’s BlackBerry Q10. Why? The product has received solid reviews thus far with a report from The Telegraph describing it as “the best keyboard phone.”
It’s a device that stays true to BlackBerry’s originality, keeping intact a physical keyboard while adding important touchscreen/application components.
Meanwhile, BlackBerry’s success will hinge on actual sales figures. It’s a product that will soon go on sale in the U.S. market.
BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins recently expressed confidence in the device, citing “very good first signs” in the United Kingdom, according to a Bloomberg news report. Heins also said his company expected “several tens of million of units.”
The BlackBerry Q10 comes with a price tag of $249.99. While we still believe that’s quite high for a phone operating on a still very young OS in BlackBerry 10 – we’d expect the price to drop sometime after release.
