(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is currently being developed for both the PS4 and Xbox One, says producer Alex Mayberry in an interview with VideoGamer.
“I don’t know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can’t really comment on what that contract looks like,” said Mayberry. “The point is we are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run.”
Although an Xbox One release has not been confirmed yet, the development team is working on developing the game for both consoles simultaneously because “it makes more sense” to develop both at the same time.
“We have that pipeline worked out,” he continued. “We’ve already done it with the 360 and PS3, so that team knows how to develop at the same time for both of those platforms. That’s just what we do. And then Blizzard and Microsoft can work out whatever they work out.”
Sony’s PS4 edition of the game, Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition, will include the original game and the Reaper of Souls expansion, although no further information has been released regarding the release date of the pack.
