(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Blizzard is helping to raise funds for the American Red Cross by donating 100% of the proceeds from its new World of Warcraft pet.
According to the developer, all the money raised by the purchases of Argi will be sent in order to help with relief efforts for the recent Ebola outbreak.
“This impossibly cute little creature will jump into your heart and nibble at your Blue Woolen Socks. She’s ready to help guide you through the savage lands of Draenor, climbing, swimming, and running wherever you go,” says Blizzard. “Argi will be ready for a home this December, right in time for Winter Veil—just don’t get too upset if she chomps through the wrapping paper.”
This isn’t the first time Blizzard has used in-game content proceeds to help charity. Last year the company donated 50% of sales from the Alterac Brew Pup to Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well as donating $800,000 to the same foundation in 2011, reports DesignNTrend.
WoW players can purchase the $10 pet from Battle.net from December 3rd to December 31st.
