(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Blizzard Entertainment, software developer of World of Warcraft and Starcraft has announced that it will apply fixes to its recently released Diablo III title after the launch was plagued with glitches.
The title has sold exceptionally well since its release, but has been heavily bombarded with errors, security issues, and negative publicity.
In regards to all the problems since its launch, Blizzard released a blog post stating, “We’d like to address some of the ongoing concerns from the Diablo III community since the game went live last week, and go into more detail about how we plan to tackle some of the lingering post-launch issues so players can focus on what they want to be focused on — playing Diablo III.”
The blog went on to read, “Moving forward, additional server maintenances will be required – and sometime next week, we plan to release a game update in the form of a patch that will further address client issues and apply additional bug fixes.”
In light of all the recent problems, Blizzard has decided to delay the launch of its much anticipated ‘online aution house’, citing that it needs more time to iron out current stability and gameplay issues. No word yet on when we can expect its release.
