(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – With much of the PC gaming world still focused on Diablo III, Blizzard livened up the World of WarCraft on Tuesday with the announcement that it was implementing a Guild Mentoring Program to the still very popular MMO. So wake up guildies, here’s your calling!
“Azeroth needs more heroes to rise through the ranks and your guild can help. We’re looking for a few good guilds to volunteer for the new Guild Mentoring Program,” explained the company in a blog post via battle.net.
“Guilds participating in the program will take part in identifying new players within selected realms, offering to invite them into the guild, and teaching them the ways of Azeroth as they level and reach the end game content,” the statement continued.
So if you’re down for helping some newbies and don’t get easily frustrated by them, perhaps the program is something to be considered. Blizzard said it plans to run the initiative for a three month timespan. Guilds must apply within the next two weeks.
Blizzard is currently busy readying the next WoW expansion (Mists of Pandaria) for release. Currently in closed beta, the title adds news features including the Pandaren race, a new Monk class and an additional talent specification Meanwhile, the company is set to participate in this year’s highly anticipated Comic Con event in San Diego.
