(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Tech giant Google is said to be considering touchscreen capabilities for its Chromebook computer line, currently manufactured by electronic makers including Samsung and Acer.
The rumor was recently noted in a report from China Times. The company currently offers its Chromebooks for relatively affordable pricing.
An Acer Chrome starts at just $199 while a Samsung version is set at $249.
While the report did not elaborate on the indication, the added capability could help Google’s offering better compete against new Windows-based Ultrabooks which are increasingly adding touchscreen as well.
