On Monday, Digital Realty Trust revealed that SoftLayer is leasing space in one of its facilities in the area. Besides cloud, other services the facility will provide for include managed hosting and dedicated.
Specifically, the data center space accounts for 48 thousand square feet.
Commenting on the matter in a press release, SoftLayer’s Chief Strategy Officer George Karidis stated, “We turned to Digital Realty to assist us in our international expansion efforts because their facilities gave us a way to rapidly deploy and get our data centre operations live quickly.”
Digital Realty Trust says the data center is “optimized for green operation”
