(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Directly printing from the cloud is now available on FedEx with storage solutions including Google Drive, Dropbox and Box, according to a recent post appearing on cultofmac.com.
Through FedEx stores, users can access the uploaded files via touchscreen interfaces on the company’s copiers. “Access documents from your cloud account using the touchscreen in our self-serve area and print your documents,” reads a section on Fedex.com.
Fedex operates more than 1,800 locations and providers offerings such as packing, shipping, faxing, passports, computer rental and more. Making more options available is surely a welcome sign for users who increasingly rely on cloud storage solutions.
Now it will be interesting to see if FedEx expands printing options to include other up and coming services including iCloud.
