(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – A new cloud test lab was recently launched by cloud solutions company Eucalyptus with hosting provided from data center company CoreSite Realty.
The location of the test lab is at one of CoreSite’s San Francisco Bay Area data centers.
Set to be available on the first of next month, the data center solution provides users with features such as using private cloud software to test their apps, the configuration of virtual resources and resource management using elastic-compute.
Discussing the matter in a press release, Eucalyptus Senior Vice President of Marketing David Butler stated, “By validating the technical and business benefits of specific use cases prior to migration, enterprises can deploy hosted private and hybrid clouds with a new level of confidence.”
Making the solution unique is the ability for customers to actually buy the cloud environment that they’re using. This can be done while the testing is ongoing. Meanwhile, Coresite Product Management VP Brian Warren said the addition offers users “a secure, risk-managed testing environment for their cloud migration strategies.”
As a cloud solutions provider, solutions by Eucalyptus include IaaS, Open Source and cloud setup service RightScale. Last year, the company announced its expansion into Asia with an office in Beijing.
Data center provider Coresite has a variety of data center locations with facilities in New York, Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago. For more information regarding the matter, view a press release by the companies here (eucalyptus.com).
