Codero Helps Raise Money for Kids with Cancer

(Ping! Zine) – Codero, an Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider, will be a co-sponsor for an annual event held by Supporting Kids Foundation: the 2010 Kansas City Metro Cornhole Championship. All proceeds raised from the tournament held on Saturday, October 16 at the Power & Light District will be used to help local families with a child battling cancer, as well as provide support to the following organizations that provide families with critical resources: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Children’s Mercy Hematology/Oncology and Ronald McDonald House.

Supporting Kids Foundation is an all-volunteer organization with a mission to create events that bring entertainment value to the donors and recognition to the sponsors. The tournament will take the first 64 teams to register. A wristband will be provided to each tournament participant for deals and specials at participating Power & Light establishments and can be purchased by spectators for $10 each.

“The foundation’s tagline conveys they are ‘helping build bright futures’ and that is how Codero feels about our contribution to the tournament,” said Shelby Garlock, Director, Marketing for Codero. “Whatever small part we can perform to accomplish more for those families who need assistance emotionally and financially, Codero is proud to contribute.”
