(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – After an extensive search that included consideration of more than twenty sites, colocation provider CoSentry announced the home for its latest data center on Thursday.
Lenexa, Kansas, not far from Kansas City, Missouri (where the company already has one facility), will be the city where CoSentry is set to begin construction on property that makes up more than 57 thousand square feet.
“We considered factors including business climate, incentives, and power costs,” stated CoSentry VP and GM for the company’s south region when discussing why Lenexa was selected.
As a colocation provider, CoSentry’s includes services such cloud, disaster recovery, security and more.
Other locations for the company’s data centers include South Dakota, Missouri and Nebraska. The Lenexa area is known as a growing market for tech companies. One of the area’s other data centers includes a 55 square foot facility by hosting provider 1&1 Internet.
Earlier this month, CoSentry announced it had finished work on new cloud platforms thanks in part to a partnership with CenturyLink.
