(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – cPanel Conference 2012 kicked off on Monday – representing a gathering of some of the top insiders from across the hosting industry.
Sponsors and exhibitors participating include companies such as SoftLayer, OnApp, CloudLinux, Spam Experts, ServerHub and more.
J. Nick Koston, CEO at cPanel, was expected to mark the event’s most high profile keynote, discussing a number of issues currently affecting the industry. Other speakers due to present included Aaron Phillips, cPanel VP of Operations and Servint Chief Operating Officer Christian Dawson.
Of course, as with any conference, talking to others is the primary function. “The cPanel Conference attracts technical executives, those who wish to enhance their knowledge and entrepreneurs new to the industry, offering the perfect mix of high-level networking, extreme learning and serious business development,” reads the conference’s website.
There was also an opportunity for attendees to get cPanel certified with tests covering things like system commands and Perl. In addition to that, attendees are getting certified in just how to resell their hosting platforms featuring cPanel control panels.
This year’s annual conference is being held in Houston Texas and will conclude tomorrow. Outside of HostingCon, it represents one of the industry’s largest. cPanel recently made news by announcing its purchase of WHMCS, a payment platform popular with hosting companies.
